Using the TAS System

 |
TAS is an 'easy to use' aid to precision shooting. We at TAS have employed decades old ballistic technology and coupled it with innovative calculations, 'Real World' Data and modern materials to make TAS, easily, the simplest, most accurate ballistic aid you will have used yet. In developing TAS we have sought the advice of some of the top shooting professionals in the Hunting field, as well as Competition, and Field Target shooters. Coupled with hours of test firing, data compilation and calculation the result is a, no nonsense, robust unit, suitable for almost any rifle shooter or marksman's needs.
Designed and developed in the UK - We reserve the right to alter or amend the TAS specifications without prior notice or warning in pursuance of product improvement. (TAS December 2007). TAS is subject to the Transfer of Technology, 2003 Regulations and therefore, a licence is required for export from the UK. TAS Limited will not supply TAS or any component parts unless the appropriate license has been obtained. TAS will apply for the necessary documentation. |

Using Your TAS System - a non-technical guide: The Method of Use couldn't be simpler and is the same for all TAS Models.
- Range Target in Yards or Metres as appropriate to the chosen output on your own TAS Unit.
- Enter the range in the range window against the inclination point ( Figure C - 0 to 50 degrees depending on the TAS Model)
- Read the solution in the Solution Window (Figure D - This will be outputted either in Miliradions or MOA depending on the scope you specified for your TAS Unit and Data Disc)
- Dial the given "shot solution" settings into your scope
- Make adjustments (Figure E - altitude/temperature window - according to your TAS Model) to your scope using the given data.
- Read the Wind and Adjust Scope Settings using Data provided (Figure F - wind adjustment window)
- Take the Shot !

 |
Remember, we have designed the TAS with in-built flexibility to allow you to decide on the output data and how it is presented. There is ample space on the rear of the TAS Unit so, for a very modest charge, you can have your preferred information added ensuring that it is always close at hand and ready for instant use. All the data, on the TAS Unit and Data Discs, is deeply etched to ensure longevity and the information is appropriately colour-contrasted for easy readability. |

What makes TAS so accurate? Unlike many ballistic calculation programs, we add "real time-real world" results to our calculation systems and don't rely too heavily on computer models, projections or ammunition manufacturers' data. All our data is verified with hours of live firing. With our continuous Research and Development Program we don't intend to rest on our laurels and TAS continues to evolve and develop. We are confident that TAS can match or exceed the accuracy of results produced by expensive electronic systems for a fraction of the cost. TAS - simple - effective - accurate! | |

The Tactical Adjustment System makes for a "clutter free" firing point - no notes or "flyaway" scraps of paper. All the data you need is provided from the TAS Unit quickly and effectively. Remember, TAS Data Discs are ammunition/rifle specific and made to your exact requirements - other information can also be etched onto the rear plate of the TAS Unit base. TAS - simple, effective and accurate.
